Nokia Asha 201 launches in the UK for £45

The Nokia Asha 201, which was announced at Nokia World 2011, has made a surprise debut on UK shores, courtesy of Phones 4u and Vodafone.

Popular UK retailer Phones 4u are offering the budget Symbian S40 handset on pay as you go with O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone, and have slapped the phone with a reasonable £59.95 price-tag. Over at Vodafone, however, you can pick up the Nokia Asha 201 for just £45 on pay as you go, when bought with the usual £10 top up.

This is a pretty good price considering the phone’s specs, which include a BlackBerry-style portrait QWERTY keypad and a 2.4-inch display. Adopters can also look forward to a 2 megapixel rear-facing camera, a media player with stereo FM radio, up to 32GB of expandable memory and a bunch of pre-loaded apps (Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Google Talk).

Sold? Head over to either Phones 4u or Vodafone to pick yours up now.
